*Gearbox conversion vlog part 2

A continuation of video 1 for converting your Soarer to manual – I have to say at this stage that this is NOT a how to – you’ve got to realise the sheer volume of work shown here isn’t even close to representative of the actual amount of work it’s required. OMFG.

That plus add the fact that each and every car is different and each and every box choice is different too… and you could follow me and get it wrong. I know I made a large amount of errors and even with the box in and the car moving I’ve got more issues to sort. I’ll be doing a follow up video too when I get some good film of it all! So keep an eye out for gearbox video 3!!

After driving the car more I realise the noise isn’t as bad as I thought – it is touching the tunnel so I’ve got some ‘massaging’ to do. Then I’ve also changed the box oil again for some Redline ATF and MTF mix which I hear is good for stopping the noise somewhat too. I’ll see how it goes and report back.

Oh and finally – I’ve moaned a lot since doing it and it’s been a huge uptake, but for the periods so far of testing it – IT’S WORTH IT. Oh my. Such a different animal. 😊
