So without an engine to build I decided to have a look through old clips of both my v8 and TT, I appeared to have a good few sound clips do figured they might be helpful to others!
V8 had a 2.25″ full stainless system. It started with one big box, and two large back boxes, had a bark, but was quiet really.
Then I tried it without the rear boxes, and liked it, so ended up straight piping the rear section to keep only a large mid box, sounded epic!
The TT has only really had two exhausts so far, factory, then a 2.5″ turbo back system with two small rear boxes, firstly with 4″ dual wall taper exits then moving to twin 4.5″ inward rolled exits.
The TT is now moving to 1.5j and a 3″ exhaust, so I’ll do a 1jz 2.5″ vs 1.5j 3″ exhaust comparison video when its done!
